Hello!

My name is John and I look forward to the possibility of working with you! I consider myself, to borrow from Carl Jung, a Wounded Healer. I have three professional personas that I wear, giving my clients a unique approach and many options as they look toward becomming more truly themselves in a world that expects us to fill so many different roles - and navigate so many lables. I also consider myself a world traveler of sorts: I've been to Thailand to study Buddhism, India for Hinduism, and most recently Rome, where I experienced the different Catholic history and spaces.

Here are my five professional labels:

X Communities

This is my passion! Bringing people together to increase Love and Compassion for Self and Others! X Communities exist to help you grow your spirit, your understanding of Self, and your relationship with others. These community experiences are offered free, do not endorse a particular religion, and center around The Perennial Philosophy. In short, The Perennial Philosophy, as defined by Google, is The belief that all the world's major religious and spiritual traditions share a single, universal foundation of truth and mystical experience.

I am a fully licensed professional clinical mental health practioner, currently offering services covered by BCBS, Priority Health, and Aetna, and offer out-of-pocket rates for individuals without insurance coverage. I take a Jungian approach to psychotherapy with clients wishing to work on depression, anxiety, relationships, existential and spiritual issues, life outlook, and so much more! You are welcome to schedule a free 15 minute video or phone consultation for more information.

Psychology Professor

I currently teach four courses at the college level and bring this expertise to all my clients. The Psychology of Success explores the research and application of skills to improve attitude, outlook, and sucess to students and their world. Introduction to Psychology gives a broad overview of the many different psychological concepts, practices, and application. Developmental Psychology form a Cultural Perspective allows me to teach others about life stages we all go through, but go through in different ways depending on our cultures. Abnormal Psych offers a glimpse into the world of individuals experiencing more enduring and disruptive disorders such as bipolar, narcisistic and borderline personality disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, schizophrenia, and more - all in an effort to help others view these struggling individuals with love and compassion.

Creative Consultant - Studio Orange LLC

Over the years, I have found that quite often individuals feel stuck in many of their creative and spiritual endeavors. I started Studio Orange LLC specifically for individuals desiring workshops, individual consulting sessions, creative and spiritual growth work, and more. I've helped individuals become better artists, performers, song writers, and have even helped with story-line and narrative development used in video games and D&D campaigns. I've given workshops on increasing love and compassion for self and others, and often volunteer and support local organizations in supporting their staff and volunteers in dealing with the stress of working with immigrant populations (Treetops Collective in GR) and homeless youth (As You Are in GR).

Music Instruction

The last offering, under the Studio Orange umbrella, is that I teach music lessons. Piano, keyboards, DAW (Digital Audio Workstations), recording studio, composition and more, please consider joining me as we team up to bring out the musician in you! All levels and a wide variety of approaches are offered - all taylored to your areas of interest! I offer a two-year Pre-Percussion Training for students desiring to join the percussion line of their middle and high school bands and orchestras! I am proud to say that I've had 100% placement success through this program! I also offer drums, percussions, and voice lessons for beginners.
