Expand Your Self!

Self, as in Self with a Capital S, the Jungian Self, Your Soul!

Below you'll find an ever-growing list of great resources to help you grow in the Perennial X that comes through everything! Watch for book study groups online and more that are focused on the philosophies presented in these sources.

The Gentle Nudgings of X

This is probably the "headiest" resource on this list. For me, it took reading it several times and listening to the audio version! By far a life-changing experience!

There's More Than You Think!

These videos are from the Conspire 2014 Conference at the Center for Action and Contemplation

The Universal X

Almost ALL Major Wisdom Traditions (religions) have a "something" that is an ultimate reality. The Taoist doesn't even name X for fear of reducing X - using the phrase "That Which Sha'n't be Named!" For Hindu's its Brahman. For Buddhists its what can only be experienced once we transcend all our egos and illusions. For Christians (at least in a healthy interpretation of the Biblical Canon) it's Christ.

The 99 Names of Allah

This list of the 99 Names of Allah is a phenominal example of how, as humans, we can probably never experience and focus on The Ultimate Reality, but we can focus on parts! Much like the hundreds of different avatars of God (or Brahman) in the Hindu tradition, this list provides a chance to contemplate one aspect of Allah at a time! I encourage people of every faith tradition to reflect on these different aspects that bring substance, if that's the right word, to that which is beyond substance.

Name #46, pictured to the right, is "The All Pervading One" and for me, seems to speak of the Flow of X! Click on the picture to see all 99 names at My Islam . Org.
